Osiyemi was born in Nigeria and attended college in the United States. He then served three years in the United States Army, where he worked on vaccine development at the prestigious Walter Reed Army Research Institute in Washington, D.C., and the Naval Medical Research Institute in Bethesda, Maryland. He completed his internal medicine residency and infectious disease fellowship at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. Osiyemi opened Triple O Medical Services in September 2000 and Triple O Research in 2005.
